Jerry and June began their ministry at First Assembly as youth pastors in 1965. Shortly after Jerry joined the United States Army and was stationed in Frankfurt, Germany. June joined Jerry in Germany and they began to serve as fellowships leaders to the American forces stationed there. In 1968 they returned to the United States and attended college at Southwestern Assemblies of God University. Soon after graduation they served as associate pastor and later as pastor of Boulevard Assembly of God church in Fort Worth, Texas.
In 1976 Jerry felt a call to foreign missions and they returned to Germany and served as missionaries to the United States forces stationed in Germany. They also were asked to begin ministry in the military stockade in Mannheim, Germany and had a tremendous ministry to the men and women of the Armed Forces who found themselves locked up in prison.
Upon return to the United States Jerry became a chaplain in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice and faithfully served there for 20 years. June also worked for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice and served in many different capacities for 20 years.
Jerry and June feel as if they have come home to First Assembly and are excited about the growth of the church.
Jerry and June have one daughter, Beth and her husband, who reside in Fort Worth, Texas.
Train a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not turn from it. Proverbs 22:6
Children are not only tomorrow's church but a valuable part of the church right now!
At Kaufman First A/G we believe in teaching the Bible through music, games, puppets, and object lessons. Using dedicated classes for ages 3 - 5 & 6 - 11 we can reach children on their level and meet their individual needs. In addition to weekly classes, we also have exciting events like Easter egg hunts & VBS.
Christian Education is developed around the core idea that "The evangelism process is not complete until the evangelized become the evangelist." To achieve this we strive here at Kaufman First A/G to teach and equip all ages of people giving them the rock solid faith it takes to go forth and accomplish the Great Commission. We have dynamic children's programs where the learning environment is such that each child will never leave their class without having grown in Christ. There are several Adult Sunday School classes to choose from. This allows you to choose the one that best relates to you. Overall, we take Christian Education seriously. Without growth in our discipleship with Christ we can never effectively live for Christ.

Sparkle ministry is about women sharing the love of God and the life giving salvation our Savior has freely offered to anyone who believes and accepts him. We make intentional efforts to help women realize that they are who HE says they are, not what the world/society says they are.
S trength – We are strong and can do all things through Christ.
P assion – Inspire women to be passionate about Christ.
A cceptance – Accept women of all ages for the unique individuals they are, created in the image of God, not the image of society.
R adiance – Radiate God’s love in our everyday lives with our families, friends and coworkers.
K indness – Show kindness to others realizing that we are all fighting battles. We need each other.
L ove – We love as God first loved us.
E ncourage – Encourage women everywhere. Life is hard, but we have a loving God who wants us to prosper. Together we do it better.

WE CAN IF I WILL!!
Deeper Book Club is an opportunity for anyone who likes to read. Once a Quarter we choose a book to read and then we come together to eat a meal and discuss the book. If you have any questions, please contact the church office.
We will be meeting on July 11th to discuss our book!
The next book we will be reading is "The Prodigal God" by Timothy Keller.
Using his characteristic intellectual approach to faith issues, Keller uncovers an unexpected message in the familiar---and often misunderstood---New Testament parable of the prodigal son. Seekers and believers alike will see Christianity in a whole new way when they learn how Christ's followers are supposed to love, so they can join him in heaven.
"Give, and you will receive. Your gift will return to you in full -- pressed down, shaken together to make room for more, running over, and poured into your lap. The amount you give will determine the amount you get back."
